Adjustment of Poses
More and more of our equipment gets updated with what currently is SL’s leading sex engine, and here’s an easy guide to getting the best out of it, frustration free:
For most of us an adjustment on the fly is more then good enough, and here’s how you do that:
For *both* avatars simultaneously you can adjust the height via the Option menu. Indeed, by clicking “Height” and then whatever you may want on the up or down fronts.
Personally I would adjust the height so that it is perfect for my partner, and soon you will know why.
Once she’s positioned nicely (and will be for all other poses as well), I am usually at the correct height myself, and in case I am not, I can now adjust *my* height individually, together with all the ups and downs and lefts and rights I need to hit my target areas:
Choose “Adjust” from your menu (if your partners clicks that as well, you will move *both* your avatars, so better make sure they don’t) and then position yourself with the help of cursor keys and/or Page Up and Page down. A matter of seconds, really. By the time she has her panties down, you are there….
Don’t bother with switching Adjust off (if you are not in a vehicle), it doesn’t hinder you in any way shape or form, and when you switch poses, you are quickly sorted again, if at all necessary.
Shift + left or right arrow key lets you toggle into changing even the rotation, if that should be necessary which basically never is, pay attention to the open chat, it tells you what you are switching to.
Make generally sure your cursor is not in any chat line and if you want to adjust your position in a vehicle, do switch the engine off.
If you use Firestorm, you can disable the SL default camera reset which occures when you move the avatar in adjust mode:
Go to Preferences > Move&View > disable “Reset camera position on avatar movement”
If not in Firestorm, sadly you have to live with the weird camera positions, we are dealing here with an SL imposed default behaviour that we can’t change.
However, if on occasions your camera is forced into a position where you can’t see yourself and you don’t want to adjust blindly, here:
what you do: Alt + left mouseclick your camera in the position you want, and then KEEP THE MOUSEKEY HELD DOWN while you use your cursor keys or page up or page down. A little bit of practice gets you a long way!
No fumbling around in edit and moving colourful sticks about, a simple tapping of the respective cursor key gets you there without troubles.
As long as SL does not allow scripts to write into notecards (which will be just about never) we went the unusual way to make adjusting positions quick and easy instead of allowing semi-saving of positions, which takes up script memory, and only keeps the positions saved till the next sim crash, script corruption or whatever else SL will come up with.
If however you are a perfectionist and want it *just so*, you can customise your positions and *really* save them forever in a notecard, and here’s how you do *that*:
